Trip to Europe, summer of 2002

Here are a few pictures of my trip to Europe during the summer of 2002. I have grouped them by city and placed them in the order in which I visited them. You can click on the pictures to see them in bigger size.

Bruxelles, Amsterdam, Brugge, (Paris), Figueres, Barcelona, Lisboa, Santiago de Compostela, Sevilla, Córdoba, Granada, León, Bilbao, San Sebastián, Bordeaux, Nantes, Giverny, Fontainebleau

Paris

First I spent a few days in Paris with my brothers, and at the end of my trip I went back there to meet my godfather Nacho (one of my mom's brothers) and my aunt Lulu before heading back home.

We began our tour of Paris at the Musée national Picasso.

The Cathédrale de Notre-Dame.

Some of the many gargoyles on the Tours de Notre-Dame.

The Panthéon.

My brothers Erik (left) and Rik at the gardens of the Chateaux de Luxemburg.

Erik in front of the Tour Eiffel.

Erik on square where the Musée du Louvre is located, the building on the back is part of the museum.

Rik trying to get close to look at La Gioconda (also called Mona Lisa), Musée du Louvre.

A painting by Delacroix that I really liked, Musée du Louvre.

The Venus de Milo with Rik taking a picture on the background, Musée du Louvre.

The Musée d'Orsay, which holds I think the world's largest impressionist paintings collection.

One of my favorite Monet paintings, Musée d'Orsay.

Do I have to mention the author of this painting at Musée d'Orsay?

The Thinker (El Pensador) at the Musée Rodin.

The Chateaux de Versailles doesn't look that big in this perspective, does it? ;-)

Rik in one of the many, many rooms in the Chateaux de Versailles.

Rik in front of the Arc de Triomphe.

Erik and Rik on top of the Arc de Triomphe, with the Tour Eiffel on the background.

The Basilique du Sacré-Coeur.

Me and my godfather Nacho (one of my mom's brothers) in front of Napoleon's tomb.

Figueres

I really only visited the Teatre-Museu Dalí. In case you didn't know, I'm a Dalí fan. This pictures are from the museum, and they are all Dalí's work.

My brothers Rik (left) and Erik right outside the Museum.

Dalí's soft self-portrait.

Can you see the woman laying there?

Portrait of Picasso.
