A big snowfall we had!
Una buena nevada que tuvimos! |

I celebrated my 30th birthday in Saskatoon
with my friends Paula and Simone. Simone baked
a delicious marbled cake that you can see in the
picture, and Paula made some great chocolate treats. |
|
Paula plays guitar and sings, so we had some singing
going on, with Simone joining Paula. |
We also sat around chatting for a while. |
|
And we drank some good tea Simone had at home. |

It is strange for people that live in warm climate
to hear that you need to use a block heater in your
car so it'll start in those
cold winter mornings. |
|
That's my office. |
Getting ready for winter ;-) Someone had this coat and
they thought I'd look funny in it. I guess they were right, ah? |
|
My first snowfall in Saskatoon (in October!). |
| |
My apartment building and my bike (yes, I do ride it
to the university if it's snowing). |
|
The river has a thin ice layer floating around. |
Ruthie came to visit in October. |

My poor little car was so loaded during the drive up
from Urbana! |
Isn't it beautiful? I cross this river every day to the
university. |
