Sports

I love playing football (soccer) so I try to play as often as possible. However, I haven't been playing much in the last few months. To keep active, I have picked up jogging, and ran a few 5k's, as well as half marathons in Mississauga, Mahomet, and Toronto. During the first few months I played with two football (soccer) teams in Toronto, Soccerworld at Soccerworld @ The DOCKS, and Indies at Soccer City. I also practiced with a team called West-End United, but I had big issues with the way the team was run so I ended up playing only half a game with them.

During my stay in Saskatoon I played with a few football (soccer) teams, Pok'ta'pok, David's Lounge Predators, Footoonies, Grasswood FC, Xtratime, and Kronos United. The leagues were well organized by the Saskatoon & District Soccer Association.
They have a nice indoor facility and a great indoor facility where I also played drop-in games during lunch time a few times a week.

I also played a lot of football (soccer) when I lived in Urbana, Illinois.
I was the first treasurer and the second president of the International Football Club, an organization at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign that promotes football (soccer).
We won our first league championship during the summer of 2004, and to the left is a picture of our team that summer (you can click on it to see a larger version).
It was also my last league in Urbana.

When I was younger I was a really sporty kid. I did a lot of swimming, played lots of football (soccer), basketball (at school), tennis; and we occasionally played american football and baseball during recess at school.

I enjoy watching football (soccer) and basketball, and sometimes American football and tennis.

My favorite football team is UNAMīs Pumas, and it is the only team I have a real allegiance to.
I've been a Pumas fan my whole life.
I used to like Spainīs Real Madrid, but mostly because of Hugo Sanchez' role there. However, I grew quite dissapointed with them over the years, and don't quite like them anymore. In the Spanish La Liga I now root for Barcelona because Rafa Marquez is there, and I also like some of their players, like Messi, Ronaldinho, Xavi, and now Henry.
I also used to like Italyīs Juventus, mostly because of Zidane. Over the years though, I drew away from their game style. I would root for Inter if they didn't have Materazzi, but I tink they are the most ofensive oriented team in El Calcio.
